Kaleidoscope Sky

and the sky was a kaleidoscope
shaped in shades of orange
mixed in hues of blues
forming colors ever so beautiful
that they clouded my mind
of any other thought
then, forgotten memories appeared
clear as yesterday
although they happened years ago
I relived everyone of them today
jumping from one girl to the next
confusing love for sex
trying to decipher cryptic emotions
to figure out if I really know
what love is all about
and the sky was a kaleidoscope
filled with dreams and hope
and I know one day
on a day like today
I will know what it means
to love really someone
