A Love Poem of Forgiveness

our first kiss
I will always remember
January 19th, in the middle of Atlanta’s winter
so very cold, but we kept each other warm
as we played around like kittens
in your college dorm
oh and you looked so cute
in that grey shirt and your tight blue jeans
I knew right then that my heart was yours
midnight came quicker than expected
counting down to the freshman curfew
that we so eagerly respected
you followed me to my hotel
laid peacfully in my arms
sexy, naked, smooth and pale
I thought I was dreaming
when I woke up next to you
because it was as if my happiest dreams
had finally came true
I was so sad to see you leave so fast
but I knew you had to be back in time for class
I thought I would suprise you
to show you how much I care
and I bought you a cute little musical bear
it was holding a heart
that said I LOVE YOU
oh that look, that amazing smile
that lit up your face
I felt ever so lucky
to be a part of your grace
then we went out for dinner and a movie
you, looking so sexy, in that purple glitter shirt
Toy Story II, so imagine how happy I was
when you got me that on DVD
to celebrate our one year aniversary
and the way we made love that night
like we had been lovers all our lives
never wanting this day to end
Friday came and went
sad Saturday, the day I had to leave
and nothing ever seemed sader to me
than having to say good-bye
kiss after passionate kiss
finding out how true love tastes
and the snow was so beautiful
as tiny flakes danced around your lovely face
that memory will be etched forever in my mind
of the happiest time of my life
and the hardest to ever say good-bye
I remember those 4 days in near perfect detail
reliving them day by day
to save me from my hell
you fucked up and I fucked up as well
and I pray, that one day
fate will allow as to forgive and forget
so that we may relive that perfect time
when we first met
I love you Rachel, I really really do
please try to forgive me, as I try to forgive you
