In the shade of an old oak tree
\nI laid down for a few minutes of sleep
\nand through the limbs and the leaves
\nI could see the clouds smiling down upon me<\/p>\n
I closed my eyes in the shadows of the sun
\nand dreamed of summer, of ice cold lemonade,
\nI dreamed of oceans, beaches, and having fun
\nbut I awoke in chills, with my fingers blue & numb<\/p>\n
I laid down in summer
\nand slept through the fall
\nwinter was all around me

\nlifeless, leafless and covered in snow
\nI wondered why he let me sleep for so long
